Oath: Chronicles of Empire and Exile

In Oath, there is an ancient land; and one to six players take part in the game. Players can choose to become agents that support the old order or plan to bring the kingdom to ruin. The results of one game will impact the one that follows. 

If a player takes control by false means and distrust, future players have to deal with a land overrun by thieves. In the game that follows, a warlord might try to find a kingdom by creating a line of rulers that might be crushed by the rise of a terrible cult or last generations.

Aeon Trespass: Odyssey

Aeon Trespass: Odyssey can be played by 1-4 players. The game offers adventures, exploration, and brutal battles with giant monsters. The game is played over multiple sessions and a co-operative, choice-driven boardgame. 

The game is set in an alternate Antiquity, where a cataclysm killed the Olympian gods and unleashed the otherworldly Primordials. In the game Aeon Trespass: Odyssey, players take on the roles of Argonauts, the only people who can fight the wrong and make things right.

Players can take control of the Argo and its crew. By training them, players can send them on adventures into the dark lands of Ancient Greece. Players can teach themselves about new technologies that will help them in combat. Players can manage their resources, craft new weapons, build new facilities, etc. Players can tame titans gather their allies, and make political alliances with the world’s factions.

You win by solving the problems and defeating your enemies. But if your Argonauts die, you lose. Several ways lead to your defeat, but there are only a few ways to win this game.  

During the game, 1 to 4 players must cooperate to defeat 1 Primordial.

Lawyer Up

Lawyer Up is a two-player asymmetrical card game. In the game, players take on the roles of attorneys. The situation is that two attorneys are facing off against each other in a courtroom case. Players can choose their roles as prosecution and defense. Every case is unique, and there are stories from Murder to Racketeering.

In Lawyer Up, you will witness lots ofarguments, strategies, and influence. Players start with Discovery; they deeply look into all the evidence and make plans to win. It is like a real courtroom scenario, where players call and question witnesses and build arguments. Players chain the cards that have the same symbols to build up their influence. Players try their best to sway the jury in their way.

Frosthaven

Frosthaven is the capital city of White Oak; it is barely surviving the harsh weather conditions and invasions from known and unknown forces. A group of mercenaries will help bring back the capital to its glory and end this destruction.

They have to deal with harsh elements as well as other dangerous threats in the cold. There are Algox, the bigger cousins of the Inox, attacking from the mountains. That’s not all; there are Lurkers coming in from the northern sea; and machines that spread the frozen wastes wherever they want. Mercenaries have to face all of these problems, and they should also make peace with these new races so that they can work together against more evil forces in the future.

The designer and publisher of Gloomhaven bring Frosthaven for Board Games Canada lovers. The game is full of adventures and has sixteen new characters, over twenty new enemies, and three new races. There are more than one hundred new items and a new, 100-scenario campaign.

Apart from having the well-known combat mechanisms, the game will give you numerous mysteries to solve; players are in charge of how the village will expand, there is a seasonal event system to live through. Every new building provides new ways to progress.

Characters from Gloomhaven will be usable in Frosthaven, and vice versa.

In PAX 2020, it was revealed that Frosthaven would be exchangeable with the original Gloomhaven board game. Namely, you can use the characters of Gloomhaven in Frosthaven and vice versa. In addition to that, some of the first game’s items will also be available throughout the sequel.

There are new items in Frosthaven, but there is a mechanic for bringing items over from ‘Gloomhaven’. 

Tumble Town

Tumble town is a town and engine building game. In Tumble Town, you have to build the best tiny town in the West. The game can be played by 1-4 players and lasts for about 45 minutes.

You are the mayor of a small community. It’s your job to make the best town. There are many building plans, and you can choose one and get to work. With each building plan, you are provided with a provision to mine a certain type of material and illustrate what values of materials are required to execute the plan, as every building has unique requirements. Buildings provide you with different abilities, such as you can manipulate the dice materials to be different values; in addition to that, you can also transform specific die materials into other materials, and you get extra credit for building certain types of buildings.

In Tumble Town, you will get only certain buildings in every round. Therefore, you have to draft plans that work best. 

There are some buildings that let you manipulate the dice, which makes it easy to construct a building.
